From the moment you arrive until the end of your stay we only communicate in English. We realize that this could be a big challenge for many people and so we will be there to support you and make the transition as comfortable and fun as possible.
We eat all meals together. Louis is our “Resident Chef” who prepares a wide range of food, using fresh seasonal ingredients: locally caught fish, “retinto” beef, homemade soups, nutritious salads and tasty rice dishes. Although we eat typical English meals, the British love Asian cooking (from India, Thailand and Indonesia), so we often prepare more exotic food and can also adapt to specific dietary requirements.
There is always the chance to enjoy films and programmes in English as well books and newspapers. Alternatively we can play games as a way to stimulate conversation on a wide range of topics.
The area of La Janda where we live is full of possibilities to enjoy the natural environment: the countryside, woodland and beaches. There is always something to see and do, as each town in the region organizes an extensive programme of cultural events throughout the year.
